Sonshine Preschool started in 1991. It is a Christian-based preschool located at First Baptist Church, 700 East Olive Street in Marshalltown.
      Sonshine Preschool provides quality early childhood education in a secure, caring, developmentally enriching environment which enhances physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth of preschool children. We prepare preschool children for future learning & success.
      Sonshine Preschool is licensed by the state and is inspected yearly by the Marshalltown Fire Department. All staff (director, teachers, and aides) meets the requirements of the State of Iowa.

Our Program includes: ABC's, Numbers 1-20, Shapes, Cutting Skills, Occupations, Transportation, Senses, Opposites, Writing their Names, Seasons & Holidays, Fine Motor Skills, Many Language Experiences, Gym & Playground for Lg. Motor Movement, Monthly Fieldtrips, Handicap Acces.-Fire Safety, Nursery Rhymes, Handwriting Without Tears Curriculum, Manners & rules, Colors, Patterns, Animal/plant units, Special parties & events (parents invited)
