I was born in Ames and raised on a farm near State Center. I served in the United States Air Force for   4 years returning to Marshalltown in 1973. I graduated from MCC in 1978 and Buena Vista University in 1987 with a BA in Management Science. I worked for Fisher Controls for 31 years, retiring in January of 2005.

 I have been married to my wonderful wife for 40 years and we have been members of FBC since 1980. We have 2 children and 3 grandchildren.

 When we first joined FBC I had a hope/dream that I could retire early from Fisher and be on staff at FBC. Be careful what you hope for, you just might get it.

 Golf and tennis are by favorite hobbies, and of course visiting grandchildren.
